Step Into the Barre Belle Experience
This video offers a look inside Barre Belle through our Student Spring Showcase 2026. A celebration of creativity, confidence, storytelling, and community through dance. From months of planning and preparation to rehearsals and performance day, so much heart and hard work went into bringing this showcase to life. Our dancers poured their passion into every moment, while the Barre Belle team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to create an experience that reflected our mission and community. At Barre Belle, we believe dance is more than movement! It’s a space for self-expression, connection, growth, and belonging, and this showcase beautifully captured what Barre Belle is all about.
Despite Charlotte, NC’s considerable affluence, many children in the city face significant challenges. Approximately 20% of Charlotte’s children live in households that may struggle to meet basic needs. At first glance, exposure to the arts is a distant thought.
That’s when Barre Belle and your support come in. Barre Belle is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that addresses the barriers to access dance head on. Dance and yoga are not just for the privileged few, but should be an opportunity for all.
So how are we making it a reality?

Classes welcoming all skill levels taught by well-trained instructors.

Providing ballet barres, shoes, and attire for all students.

Low transportation costs with classes scheduled at local community sites.

Virtual experiences, including dance-related book readings in both English and Spanish.

All participants attend a live dance performance each year!
